Qualification Lead

Simon de Schutter is a seasoned cycling enthusiast and technical expert with extensive experience in both conventional and eBike technologies. Having worked with leading cycling brands and workshops across Europe, Simon brings a wealth of knowledge in bike mechanics and maintenance. His role as Technical Director involves designing the training curriculum, setting up workstations, and ensuring that the program meets international standards. Simon’s dedication to quality training and his hands-on approach make him a key asset to the project, particularly in integrating the latest advancements in cycling technology into the training modules.

Burkhard Volbracht

Burkhard Volbracht brings over two decades of experience in international development and vocational training. With a passion for sustainable community-driven projects, Burkhard has been instrumental in shaping initiatives that empower local communities through education and skill-building. His deep understanding of the socio-economic landscape of Rwanda, combined with his expertise in project management, ensures that this bike mechanic training program will make a lasting impact. Burkhard’s vision is to create a robust, self-sustaining infrastructure for cycling in Rwanda, paving the way for future generations of skilled mechanics.

Wolf Bosse

Wolf Bosse is an expert in community outreach and stakeholder engagement, with a strong background in social entrepreneurship and nonprofit management. Wolf’s role involves building partnerships with local organizations, cycling associations, and international stakeholders to support the project’s goals. His deep commitment to social equity and empowerment drives his efforts to increase the participation of underrepresented groups, including women, in the cycling industry. Wolf is passionate about creating opportunities for young Rwandans to build meaningful careers in bike mechanics, contributing to the sustainable development of the local economy.
